Just Events Limited have partnered with KoM Coaching to provide you with some great training plan options to help get you in peak shape ready for the Moor to Sea Sportive.

Moor to Sea Training Plans

Just Events Limited, in partnership with KoM Coaching have prepared a suite of sixteen week training plans specifically for the Moor to Sea Sportive. The plans provide structured training over the four months leading up to the Sportive, with each one tailored to meet the demands of the three routes. Every Training Plan comes with an easy to follow guide and a free Training Peaks account. All training sessions are prepared for you by a Level 3 British Cycling Coach and set out for you in your Training Peaks account.

Bronze Plans

When you subscribe to the Bronze Plan you will receive a Start Guide that gives you all the information you need to prepare for your training sessions. This guide includes instructions on how to complete an assessment of your current level of cycling fitness. For those with Heart Rate Monitors and/or Power Meters, there are instructions on how to complete an FTP (Functional Threshold Power) Test and calculate your personal Training Zones. You will then be able to train more accurately as you monitor the intensity of your training. For those who do not have these gadgets, there are instructions on how to assess the intensity of your training using a methodology known as RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion).

You will also receive a free Training Peaks account. This is an online training program through which your training schedule will be delivered. Training Peaks will also send you daily reminders for each planned session. Once you have completed a training session, you will update your Training Peaks account which will create a record of your progress. Training Peaks is rich with data analysis features enabling your training to be accurately monitored.

The sixteen week "Bronze Plan" is a fixed schedule of training that has been designed around the demands of the Moor to Sea Sportive. There are three plans available, one designed for the Extreme, one for the Challenge, and one for the Inspire. You will be supplied the appropriate plan for your chosen route.

The Bronze Plan does not take into account your personal lifestyle, such as how much training time you have available, when you work, the type of work you do, or other events or holidays you might be planning. If you would like your training plan tailored around your personal requirements, please consider the Silver Plan option.

The cost for the Bronze Plan is £25.00.

Silver Plans

When you subscribe to the Silver Plan you will receive everything that is included in the Bronze Plan plus the following:

Before you start your sixteen weeks of training, an approved British Cycling Level 3 Coach will contact you to discuss your training requirements. They will ask you about your lifestyle to establish what training time you have available and identify any other commitments you have. They will discuss your strengths and weaknesses and establish your personal goals. Once they have the information they need, they will write a personalized training plan for you.The plan will take into account the demands of the Moor to Sea route you have entered alongside your personal circumstances. At the end of each four week training block your coach will review your training with you and give guidance for the next phase.

If you would like more frequent input from a training coach, please consider the Gold Plan option.

The cost for the Silver Plan is £80.00, which equates to just £5.00 per week.

Gold Plans

When you subscribe to the Gold Plan you will receive everything that is included in the Silver Plan but you will receive twice as much input from your cycle training coach.

Every fortnight your coach will carefully review the progress of your training by analizing your training data in your Training Peaks account and then provide the necessary feedback to help you maximise the benefits fromyour training time.

The cost for the Gold Plan is £128.00, which equates to just £8.00 per week.
